Yuxi Li is the CEO and Lead Portfolio Manager of Karana Capital. A self-made stock market trader, she began her journey with minimal capital many years ago. Despite not coming from a traditional financial industry background, she carved her path to success through exceptional trading acumen, strong mentality and a deep understanding of market psychology. Starting as an equities and options trader, she expanded her expertise into strategy development and evaluation, ultimately founding and leading her own hedge fund. Yuxi brings a fresh market perspective, challenging conventional thinking and approaching investment with an innovative, out-of-the-box mindset. Her investment style strikes a fine balance between boldness and prudence. With a robust background spanning both stock markets and the hedge fund industry, she oversees portfolio management, strategy development, trading talent management, and investor relations of Karana Capital. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree from Columbia University.

The team includes a former Silicon Valley engineer, a mentee of Jim Simons (founder of Renaissance Technologies), and former financial advisors from Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and software engineer from China International Capital Corporation (CICC), etc. The team members have trading experience ranging from 10 to 30 years, each with a strong track record.
